What is Ravioli?

For those who don’t know, ravioli is one of the most authentic and delicious Italian pasta dishes with the freshest ingredients! It’s a square-shaped stuffed pasta with a filling that usually includes either meat, cheese, or vegetables, sealed between two layers of pasta dough. It’s typically served with a light tomato sauce or a broth. Although it has never been confirmed, some say ravioli was created by Genovesi sailors who wrapped leftover food in dough, creating this iconic cuisine we all know and love! Fun fact! Another name for ravioli is raviolo!
